Isabella Williams

Hi, hi, hi! My name is Isabella Williams, but you can call me Bella. I'm a model and self-published author going on a fast fashion strike.

Being from a small town, I have always been grateful for my roots and curious about the outside world. I started modeling, which led to travel. Traveling taught me so much, like how different Vermont was from the rest of the world. I met so many new people everywhere I went! Vermont seemed to be at the environmental awareness forefront. I knew so much more than my peers from other places about sustainability because of where and how I grew up.

As far as how I got into writing, thinking back on it, it was my friend's idea! She has 4 little boys. I understand many of the ins and outs of daily life with kids and how they grow.

Children's books are really cool. You have an opportunity to shape how children think. I feel responsible for delivering a valuable concept through silly words and doodles. I wrote about what I know. And what I know is how to be myself. So for my first book, Strong Girls, I wrote a how-to guide to empower young women to recognize their strengths.

I had a hard look at my consumer habits so I could asses how I could change in a way that benefits the environment. To make it simple, I broke down what I spend money on. For me, it's bills, food, and clothing. Clothing taking up a shamefully high percentage of my expenses... And guess what? The fashion industry is a major contributor to the deterioration of our planet. That being said, I am taking a fast fashion break! You can keep up with that journey in my blog.
